The name given to the first issue of paper money made in the western world. Paper money of this type was the idea of Johan Palmstruch at Riga in 1652, but nine years elapsed before it was implemented by the Stockholm Bank. The notes were redeemable in copper platmynt.(Swedish for 'credit notes')
